NISHANE TERO

Tero by Nishane is a woody oriental perfume that opens with sweet aromatic notes, with an earthy heart and an enveloping amber base.

Created in collaboration with Carlos Benaim, TERO means Earth in Esperanto. Although there are billions of planets out there, finding a copy of Earth seems unlikely as it would have to have undergone the same phases of its evolution to reach a similar stage to the present one.

We can therefore say that we all live in the same "place", namely our planet, and that we are complex yet simple in our composition from it. As human beings, we go through cycles just like the Earth, only on different planes. The Earth grows and dies, changes and moves, warms and cools, produces life and feeds on what it creates. The Earth asks us to take care of it and in doing so also of ourselves and our future generations, plants, animals, air and water. It asks us to be aware that we are as much a part of it as anything else, and that the Earth and its nature are a part of the whole. The Earth asks us to be content with how it is, to be content with ourselves and to know that everything will change and grow at the necessary pace and in the necessary ways. Not to push it beyond its limits, not to transform nature into something we can no longer even call natural. The Earth asks us as human beings to keep it clean and healthy, and to keep ourselves clean and healthy. This perfume and the earthy notes that permeate it are dedicated to all of this: to the world in which we all live.

Base Notes: Vetiver Haiti Oil, Amber, Oakwood
