Following the travel routes of Alvise Gritti, we depart from Venice towards Antalya, the gateway to the Turkish coasts and the first city that appears in Alvise's diaries, now jealously preserved by the family. His career was mainly linked to the Ottoman Empire — with which he had commercial relations — and Antalya became the city that reminded him of Venice, with its scents of salty breeze and spices. Antalya is a marine eau de parfum, pungent and intense with a bitter seaweed accord, aromatic nuances of myrtle, and hints of tobacco that highlight a strong and distinctive character.
