Inspired by the nobility of England's Queen Anne period and the wonderful gardens that adorned the homes of royalty and elites, Clive Christian's Cosmos Flower is built around a rich and enticing chocolate fragrance. A delightful blend of sweet benzoin and caramel in the base is given by a chypre-style mix with dark cocoa, dry amber, and a hidden hint of leather that unfolds as the fragrance warms. The bouquet in the heart envelops with a rich, almost fruity floral accord, blending with the intensity of ylang-ylang, the sensuality of jasmine, and osmanthus, a flower with a fruity aftertaste. Natural cocoa offers creamy and gourmand notes, but also a bitter and dark touch, which enhances the fruity character perceptible in the opening, while a hint of fiery rum brings warmth and joy.

The Cosmos Flower is native to Mexico, blooming only twice a year and considered the flower of love - To recreate the chocolate aroma of this flower, cocoa is added, enriching the fragrance with a bitter-sweet creaminess - Extraction method: cocoa beans are fermented, washed, and roasted to create flakes; half of the cocoa butter is removed from these flakes to create a powder which is then used, through solvent extraction, to create cocoa absolute.
